I thought I never had a problem keeping this straight until I went to Thailand and looked for music from a band called Sticky Rice only to learn that they were Taiwanese. I'd referred to them as" Tai" since discovering them, didn't know that wasn't a word, and didn't discover the error for 8 years. I recommend them: best Asian funk band ever.
